The Silver Mount
The Silver Mount is a jagged metallic peak that dominates the northern Numerian city of Starfall. It is jealously guarded by the Technic League, who have not permitted entry since the time of the wizard Karamoss, in the earlthy 37th century.
The Silver Mount is in fact the largest piece of debris from the Rain of Stars. The robots who roam Numeria’s plains are believed to have originated from this fallen star.
The Silver Mount is a starship that hailed from another world. The cause of its crash was unknown – be it an intentional but unsuccessful landing or something else – and the motivations of its inhabitants in coming to Golarion were likewise unknown.
The starship is named the Divinity, and it is believed that the Technic League guards it as closely as they do to keep its secrets to themselves. This is interesting, all the more so because it is believed that not all of that technology was destroyed or rendered inoperable in the crash. It crashed on Golarion following a devastating battle with an alien race, as it attempted to fle to safety.
The Divinity hails from a place far distant in the galaxy, a planet known as Androffa. It is suspected that those aliens followed the Divinity to Golarion. Robots were almost certainly not its only inhabitants – the Androffa themselves populated this massive starship, and they may have survived the crash. A powerful device, buried deep within the heart of the Divinity, once allowed it to travel vast distances across the galaxy.
The Technic League
The Technic League are a faction of mages who serve the Black Soverign in Starfall. They wield powerful artifacts found from within the ruins of the Silver Mount and other such regions in Numeria. They treat these artifacts, and knowledge of them, as highly exclusive items, and jealously guard the Silver Mount’s secrets from the rest of the world. They have agents and servants of many colors, races, and abilities.
The Technic League maintains spies in many regions of the world, particularly regions where their technology has been known to perpetuate. They only most certainly maintain a presence in Absalom, as a result of the Red Redoubt, the technological siege tower created by Karamoss to besiege the city. A book known as The Book of Stars, a survey of the Silver Mount, is their most jealously guarded secret, and their agents are known to have killed those who have gotten ahold of copies.
Their motivations seem to be greed and power, as more control of the technology of the Silver Mount gives these mages an advantage over those who only wield the arcade, or wield neither arcane nor technology. They appear to command legions of constructs, known as robots, which do their bidding throughout all Avistan, though they are rarely seen beyond Numeria’s borders. The League also hunts the gunslingers of Numeria, a faction of warriors who arose after the Rain of Stars in northern Numeria.
The Technic League guard the Silver Mount closely and refer to it as the Divinity. They are led by a man named Ozmyn Zaidow, who rules Starfall from the shadows. The Black Soverign is, in fact, a kind of servant himself to the League, for it is they who rule Starfall in all but name.
The Technic League are believed to be controlled by an ancient entity who has taken residence within the remains of Divinity. This entity calls itself Unity, and very little is known about this being. Ozmyn Zaidow is believed to be an avatar of this being and a direct arbiter of its will.
